Abstract :
The paper presents new resonator configurations to realize dielectric-loaded and conductor-loaded cavity filters with improved spurious performance. Theoretical and experimental results are presented for filters built using the proposed resonator structures. The results show that shaping the dielectric or the conductor material inside the cavity can considerably improve the spurious performance of the resonator.
