  • Abstract
    This paper presents the design of hermetic housing for TR modules in LMDS systems by suppressing the cavity modes in the closed channel. By suitably adding partition plates with aperture opening for signal line transmission, the cavity modes can be expelled from the operating frequency range. Three cases of no partition, four-partition, and six-partition are simulated and the performance compared. An improvement in insertion loss of 20 dB was observed in measurement
