Abstract
Using brain signals to produce Brain-Computer-Interaction based-devices provides a novel approach to human-computer-interaction. The applications of such a system are widespread and besides healthy people, such a system can also help to improve the lives of people who may have an impaired physical ability. In this paper we present an approach that is able to classify visual stimulus into brain-signals that can later be retrieved to perform pattern matching and recognition. The novelty of the approach is that it uses alternate scalp channels instead of the tradition Cz channels associated with motor control. The aim is to design a system that can be used for people with a damaged or lesioned sensorimotor cortex.
