Abstract
This paper surveys recent innovations which led to technological advances in electronics applications using polyester film for insulation. Innovation occurred in materials, manufacturing processes and product designs. The applications involved are membrane touch switches, flexible circuits and miniature capacitors. These applications place a premium on miniaturization, high reliability, design flexibility, lightweight and low cost.
