Abstract :
Paying particular attention to the chemical interaction between the polypropylene film and aromatic synthetic oil which compose the electrical insulation system of our oil-impregnated all polypropylene film power capacitor, the dielectric properties of the insulation system were measured not only in low electric fields but also at high-voltage conditions and were successfully elucidated by the aid of the theories of dielectrics. It turned out that our oil-impregnated all polypropylene film power capacitor is characterized by its excellent dielectric properties in the wide range of applied voltages.
