Meeting VDE & CSA requirements in the manufacture of transformers

For many years, Transformer Manufacturing has virtually remained unchanged. Large Scale Linear and Ferroresonant Power Transformers, Medium Scale Filament & Chokes were constructed utilizing the Stick Winding method. This type of manufacturing not only consumed more labor, but in many applications could not be used. Now that Electronics Circuitry combines minature Solid State Components, along with Printed Circuit boards designs and stringent qualification parameters being applied to it, the Stick Wound Transformer is quickly being replaced by molded fabrications.
