Abstract :
The sensor-rich and Internet-enabled smartphones opens the door for some new mobile App. How to effectively mining potential value of smartphone sensors and build processing big data platform is a hot topic nowadays. In this paper, some common sensors used in smartphones are introduced, and several popular big data processing platform and technology is analyzed and compared. For real-time data and non-real-time data, this paper provides a framework for simultaneously satisfying both batch and real-time processing capabilities for smartphone´s big data platform. Then, a general framework of new App and its server application is presented. Finally, the paper sets up a Hadoop simulation environment, measures and computes the average and maximum driving speed according to the data received from smartphone sensors carried in vehicles. Experimental results show that the proposed platform can process the smartphone sensor´s big data effectively and accurately.
