Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to introduce how Fault Tolerant Controller (FTC) could be implemented in the Vector Control Scheme of Induction Motor drives in the event of failures in Current Sensor. This will be achieved by using a newly introduced vector control scheme known as “Indirect Field Oriented Vector Control without Current sensors”. In Current Sensor faulty situation Current Estimation is on the basis of instantaneous Speed Value. This proposed FTC facilitates a smooth and fast transition from IFOC to IFOC without Current Sensor. The following Simulation results substantiate the proposed Vector Control Strategy.
