  • Abstract
    Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is used to design a novel microchannel network for the application of nonuniform heat flux generated by electronic devices with multiple heat elements. The channel network includes three tapered headers and two channel-regions. A corresponding experiment system is developed which mainly consists of a computer-controlled pump, heating blocks and the apparatuses for measuring the temperature and pressure drop. The distributions of pressure drop, temperature, and the Nusselt number in the microchanel heat sink are provided as well as thermal resistance.
