Abstract :
In recent era, massive computing is inevitable and mostly required for graphic processing of high resolution. Massive computing in high resolution is mainly dominated by GPUs. This paper focuses on start of GPU since era of 1980´s and its evolution till date. The possibility of designing own GPU with the help of reconfigurable computing on FPGA is also discussed. This paper is exploring the scenarios in which GPU product ICs can be suitable for use and the scenarios in which RC designed GPUs can also be feasible.
