  • Abstract
    CAD model retrieval technology is very important in design and production fields. In this paper, a new model retrieval tool is given, where a model´s edge and face information is extracted to construct face attribute adjacent graph. A CAD model library is built in which a model is stored with its correspondent face attribute adjacent graph. At the same time, face similarity is calculated based on edge number and face similarity matrix is constructed. A face matching algorithm is used to find source model´s sub-model which is most similar with target one in shape. Then, a model retrieval framework is described. Experimental results show that this tool can match CAD models exactly and the retrieval efficiency meets user´s need.
