Abstract
In this paper, the thermoelectric conversion power sensor, which is the key part in the WR-6 (110–170 GHz) rectangular waveguide microcalorimeter, was designed and evaluated. The ultimate goal of the power sensor is to transfer the absorbed terahertz power to the traceable direct current power. The ANSYS simulation software was used to evaluate the distribution of electromagnetic fields and the temperature distribution for the power sensor. Finally, optimizations for the shape of the internal absorbing material and the position of thermistor were used to determine the WR-6 thermoelectric conversion power sensor.
