Abstract :
A low-pass (LP) /Complex band-pass (CBP) reconfigurable analog baseband for low-power Wi-Fi receiver is presented. A reversed Thomas-Tow Bi-Quad is cascaded with another Bi-Quad based on only one Op-Amp to provide 4th-order filtering characteristics and programmable gain, which reduces the power consumption significantly. The embedded Op-Amp uses the quasi-floating-gate (QFG) technique to achieve better linearity. The analog baseband supports 8MHz LP or 1MHz/2MHz CBP reconfigurable signal bandwidth and achieves 58dB dynamic gain range with 1dB step and 10.51dBm output P1dB while consuming 2.3mW-2.5 mW power from one 1.2 V power supply.
