Abstract :
The recent development of Terahertz-sensing has led to a possible new solution of label-free DNA sequencing. This work presents a CMOS THz-sensing system for DNA sequencing. Different from the current optics based THz sensing systems that are bulky, expensive, lack of portability with low detection resolution by electro-optic sampling techniques, the proposed CMOS THz-sensing system demonstrates both high sensitive and wide band THz sensor at 140 GHz. These advantages and low-cost make it possible for future THz based DNA sequencing.
