Abstract :
Ultrasound-based positioning system has high accuracy so it is widely used in location system. Most of ultrasonic ranging method using the time difference of arrival (TDOA) to measure the distance between two nodes. In this paper, we propose a new ultrasound ranging method based on network-level synchronization. In a high ranging frequency case, this approach can reduces the traffic and improves the lifetime of the network. We use the error compensation to improve accuracy. Exclude the outliers, the variance and the standard deviation can be declined to 0.00022m2 and 0.014825m, respectively.
