Abstract :
TM spectral bands and vegetation indices (VIs) developed from ground-based and image-based measurements were correlated to field-measured perennial saltbush cover percentage at Lake Mungo in semi-arid rangelands of Western NSW, Australia. TM5 and TM7 single bands were most significantly related to cover data. SRVI-1, SRVI-2, DVI and PVI also performed better.
