  • Abstract
Health care is one of the fastest growing areas in terms of care, treatment and the exploitation of new technology in Slovenia. There is a great need for standards and protocols that can ensure that education and work of health care professionals will be built upon common EU evidence based practice, EU directives and regulations and according to the state of the art in nursing. At the same time the "health enterprises" and the Chamber of Nursing feel that many of their needs and requirements are not met by current curricula in nursing colleges. As a consequence the educational, governmental and "industrial" institutions from Slovenia, UK, Italy and Greece have determined to work on these problems. The EU has agreed to support the project under the Phare Tempus Framevork and the aim of this paper is to briefly present the aims and structure of ODIN.
