Abstract :
Requirements analysis is part of the global requirements engineering process. It is used in detecting and collecting the stakeholders´ requirements that are important for developing the information system or software system. The viewpoint-oriented requirement definition (VORD) method is applied in the requirements analysis process. The method supports a service-oriented approach which is suitable for interactive systems. Using this method the analysis is based on external viewpoints which interact with the system by receiving services from it and giving data to the system. The analysis of a request for a point-of-sale (POS) system in a supermarket is presented as an application.
