Abstract
The symbol error rate (SER) performance of discrete multitone (DMT) systems is presented in dispersive channels disturbed by additive, correlated impulsive noise. The impulsive noise is modelled as Middleton´s (1977) class A interference. In order to carry out the analysis, a model to generate class A noise samples is proposed and verified by simulations. An expression for the subchannel SER is obtained and plotted for various system parameters.
