Abstract
Complex product systems (CoPS) is a very important research field in technological innovation. Based on the former classical research in the field of technological innovation audit and considering the particulars of Chinese companies, this paper formulates a new model for the assessment of CoPS innovation process. Based on this model, the paper designs a specific framework for the assessment of the CoPS innovation process. It presents a case study on the CoPS process of Eastcom by applying this framework and compares the CoPS process of Eastcom with those of Huawei Technology, Zhongxin Telecom and Lucent Corporate, and finally gives some practical suggestions about how to improve Eastcom´s CoPS innovation performance.
