Abstract :
We report on a 15.6 Gb/s transmission over 1 km of next generation multimode fiber. The short wavelength module used a SiGe bipolar VCSEL driver. The multimode fiber was almost ideal and had a total DMD (differential mode delay) width of only 0.056 ps/m.
