Abstract :
Insulating piercing connectors, being in use among others, in low-voltage aerial bundled cables, belong to rare "weak elements" of those specific lines. In particular, this concerns different current connections within piercing connectors which can determine the operational reliability of lines, and finally-effective power delivery. This paper describes comparative research regarding the quality of current piercing branch connectors offered by four different producers (A, B, C, D).
