Abstract
Thermography is a useful examination method for the following reasons: 1) it is able to detect many non-palpable breast cancers that otherwise might be missed by ultrasonography or mammography; 2) patients who have preoperative thermographic examinations can avoid undergoing unnecessary surgery for determining prognosis; 3) patients with non-palpable breast cancers detected by thermography indicate the need for prompt treatment.
