Abstract
This paper focuses on centralized conferences in a session initiation protocol (SIP) environment and the different techniques deployed in audio mixing. We express the main issues in mixing audio over IP and discuss our own prototype as part of the multipoint control unit (MCU) implementation. We show measurements of our own implementation of audio mixing and present new features to be supported in future releases.
