Abstract
The topic of this paper is the representation of distributed resources in power system dynamics simulation software. First, the working principles of this kind of software are summarized and a general structure that most distributed resources have in common is discussed. Then, the working limits of distributed resources and their response to voltage and frequency disturbances are commented upon. References for further reading are included.
