Abstract :
The necessities imposed by the European rules for energy conservation has led to an increase of fluorescent lighting. If this method is interesting in terms of lighting, from the electrical point of view, the discharge of the gas or the peripheral constituents necessary to the working (ballast, starters etc.) are harmonic generators of power and voltage. With the target to improve the lighting productivity and the quality, power electronics gradually replaces the traditional circuit. Our work aims to give the necessary means for the study of the fluorescent lighting resistances with magnetic or electronic ballast. The proposed modeling is simple enough to be compatible with a lot of actual compatible programs: PSpice, Saber, and Simplorer. Each model is validated by many tests so that we can guarantee their accuracy.
