Abstract
Chaotic behavior has been observed in many power converter topologies and varieties of control methods. However no investigation of chaos has been done in multi-module systems and more specifically interleaved power converters. In this paper a two-module interleaved boost converter, used in a renewable energy conversion system, is analyzed. The analysis is done both in Matlab and PSPICE. Results from the simulations match well and show that despite the use of large filter capacitors, the modules interact with each other.
