Abstract
This paper considers two elements relevant for developing a security framework in software defined radio systems. The following two issues are addressed: (i) an architecture for exchanging the cryptographic components which includes the tamper resistant hardware; and (ii) a discussion of pull versus push technologies for updating the software for the software defined terminals reconfiguration.
