Abstract
For people that have limb paralysis but have head movement ability, the head pointing device based on the ultrasonic position measurement was developed. In the head movement measurement system, the positions in space of the three transmitters were measured. At the intersection of the normal line of the plane consisting of the three transmitters and the screen plane, the cursor was presented The experimental results showed that the pointing speed is not so slow compared to the ordinary computer mouse. The head pointing device is useful because the cursor can be easily moved by head rotation unity.
