Abstract
Summary form only given. Optical telecommunications companies, in an ever-tightening market, must find the most cost-effective solution for long haul optical transport. This presentation will present an overview of the challenges to 40 Gb/s deployment and review various techniques that are being commercialized to meet these challenges.
