Abstract :
The authors deal with the mathematical representation of the flux-angle characteristic of a light-emitting diode. Although this empirical relationship may, as with any other function, be represented as a polynomial (of quite high order), the authors suggest another equation which enables the fitting of experimental data using only two parameters. The authors describe the results for three devices with flux-angle characteristics of various widths.
