Abstract
The results of an investigation of an antenna based on a folded dipole are presented. The antenna has a flat radiation structure and a loop of a feeding coaxial cable, while the oscillator is excited by a cable located in the gap of the radiating structure. The design also incorporates a screen located at a distance of approx. 1/4 of a medium wavelength from the structure. The antenna developed for a 600 MHz medium frequency satisfactorily matches the 50 Ω cable over a 385-940 MHz range.
