  • Abstract
A multimedia cart including a laptop computer, LCD projector, and document camera are being utilized to improve student communication skills in engineering technology (ET) courses at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown (UPJ). This mobile unit conserves funding while providing an instructional technology resource for use in a variety of settings. Providing students experience using computer presentation equipment during their academic studies is intended to improve student preparation for industry. Multiple oral presentation experiences utilizing instructional technology, along with feedback, self-assessment and revision opportunities are intended to improve student presentation skills and confidence.
