Abstract
This paper describes a unique capstone senior design project resulting from a collaborative effort between the Electrical & Computer Engineering and Physics Departments at the University of Detroit Mercy. This cross-disciplinary project, aimed at developing computer-based laboratories for introductory physics experiments, has a number of interesting features, which are discussed in this paper. The paper focuses on student assessment results and an overall evaluation of the project.
