  • Abstract
There are many interacting issues which must be investigated fully before a multiprocessor system for signal processing applications is integrated. Among the most important of these issues are the system architecture, system configuration, and the implementation technology. A methodology for the simulation of systems under which these issues can be examined independantly is presented and shown to be applicable to a variety of architectures. The methodology used is simple and can be a valuable system design tool. The usefulness of the approach is illustrated with an example.
