Abstract
A novel and effective method for real-time detection of QRS complex in the presence of strong noise is presented. The method is based on single-frequency filtering and nonlinear transform techniques. The scheme of implementation using a microprocessor based system is given. The method is tested for various types of noise and the results are presented. The effects of varying the filter length and the wordlength of the filter coefficients are also studied.
