Abstract :
Digital video intensity scalability, spatial coverage scalability, and temporal span scalability are proposed as extended functionalities of video coding. These scalabilities can provide useful options and preferences to viewers or multimedia systems. Linear interpolation is investigated and simulated as a temporal span scalability approach. Experimental results are presented and analyzed.
