  • Abstract
    In the paper, in order to decrease the disadvantages of the traditional single beam (SB) switched-beam smart antennas systems, we propose a new switched-beam smart antennas scheme based on the combination of beam hopping (BH) and SB schemes. The analysis and simulation results show that for DS-CDMA systems in multipath Rayleigh fading channel, the proposed scheme can overcome the edge effect of the crossed sections in beams effectively, thus improve. the performance of the switched-beam smart antennas systems.
