Abstract
When performing RSVP based resource reservations over SRP ring, the layer 2 queuing and forwarding considerably increases the burstiness of data streams, and makes it hard to allocate resources and guarantee QoS. In this paper, the burstiness variation bounds for high priority data streams over the SRP ring was estimated through theoretical analysis. Using the results of this paper, we could make more accurate resource reservations over the SRP ring and effectively guarantee flow QoS.
