Abstract
Most of the work done in the last decade on current-mode (CM) filters has been based on designing a CM filter from a voltage-mode (VM) filter that uses voltage amplifiers. It is shown in this paper that by using the concept of network transposition, introduced in 1971, by Bhattacharyya and Swamy that a VM filter built with an operational transconductance amplifier (OTA), i.e., a gm-C VM filter, can be easily transformed into a gm-C CM filter using the same OTA as the active device.
