Abstract
Chaotic behaviors are observed in stoker-type incineration plants when a conventional control strategy is applied. In the paper, a new operating strategy, which does not generate chaotic behaviors and makes the fluctuation of the steam flow rate be small, is proposed and its effectiveness is presented through some numerical simulations.
