Abstract
A technique for optimizing the number of iterations on which signal parameter estimation is carried out is presented. The accuracy of the estimate over each iteration is compared with the single-user Cramer Rao lower bound. The resultant algorithmic receiver structure is ideally suited to adaptive control.
