Abstract :
A novel reception method for OFDM systems, based on the use of multiple local oscillators at the receiver is proposed. In this method the received signal is down-converted using multiple oscillators with slightly different frequencies. The down-converted signals are then combined before the OFDM demodulation takes place. The signal-to-inference ratio and bit error rate performance of the proposed system has been obtained and compared to those of the existing systems. It has been shown that a higher frequency offsets the proposed method can provide better performance.
