Abstract
Supply chain management concerns about project information sharing, process integration, and coordination of decisions. To meet the requirement of these businesses, a J2EE based multiagent platform is proposed, in which the functions of supply chain is decomposed into groups formed by various types of intelligent agents. Each group performs a task such as production schedule controlling or inventory level monitoring, and each group interacts with others by conversations to complete their tasks. The layered architecture of the platform, as well as the conversation approach and implementation issues of this platform is presented, and we think it an effective tool for building the virtual organization of enterprises.
