Abstract
Upgrade methodologies for a 80nm-wide backward-pumped all-Raman-amplified transmission line have been experimentally studied. We found that the signal band should be expended from the longer-wavelength band and that the upgrading signals should be launched before adding upgrading pump wavelengths.
