Abstract
A system dedicated to the automation of wine analysis processes making use of the flow injection technique is presented in this work. The system thus developed allows both the design of experiments making use of different hardware and analytical instrumentation, and the subsequent development of wines analysis in a fully computer-controlled manner. The system is built under a multilayer model in which each layer is formed by different components and it has a specific functionality. The control flow in which the experiment actions are carried out by the hardware is defined under a time-governed model, and triggers are used in order to take into account the system state at the end of the process.
