Abstract :
This study has generated high power broadband THz light using relativistic electrons and demonstrates that about 100 W can readily be produced in a band from 0.1-3 THz with possible extensions to 6 THz. The experiments use a new generation of light source, the energy recover linac (ERL), in which bunches of electrons circulate once, but in which their energy is recovered.
