Abstract :
We report a demonstration of a first-order rectangular-lattice photonic-crystal distributed-feedback laser (PCDFB), in which Fabry-Perot modes are suppressed by means of laser ablation as well as the modeling of surface-emitting counterparts of PCDFB lasers.
