Abstract
A detailed investigation of the electromagnetic field distributions in high-speed interconnects and microstrip lines is very useful for physical understanding, circuit design, studies of electromagnetic coupling effects for EMC and EMI. The full wave analysis is carried out by using a finite-difference time domain technique. Its measurement is carried out using a small coaxial probe antenna and complicated measurement system is not required. The upper limit of the operating frequency and the resolution for this measurement will be clarified.
