Abstract
We compare the achievable load of three types of overloaded signature sets with multistage successive interference cancellation: random spreading (PN), Welch-bound-equality (WBE) sequences and overall permuted OCDMA/OCDMA (o-O/O) or pseudonoise/OCDMA (PN/O). It is found that o-O/O outperforms PN and WBE for spreading factors N, varying from 16 to 256.
